• A project OBS is a depiction of the project organization arranged to indicate the reporting relationships within the project context. 
• The OBS reflects the way the project is functionally organized.
• It is a direct representation and description of the hierarchy and organizations that will provide resources to plan and perform work identified in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• It typically depicts the overall organization of the project members, usually with the project manager at the top, the team leaders at Level 2, and the individual team members below Level 2.
